Protected mode MicroStation PC driver
-------------------------------------
for
VORTEK based boards
REQUIREMENTS:
-------------
* 386 or better
* math co-processor
* 4 Mbytes of memory (8+ is better)
* VORTEK based card
* MicroStation PC, Version 4.0.3.1 or later
INSTALLATION:
-------------
1. Copy the following files to the "\USTATION\DRIVERS" directory:
"MGLAGX.EXP" The executable driver file.
"MGLAGX.MA" The MDL application that loads the driver.
"MGLAGX.MGL" Used by the configuration program to locate
the driver files.
2. Go to the "\USTATION" directory.
3. Run the "USCONFIG" program to select the new device driver.
3a. Select "Display Adapters" entry.
3b. Select "VENDOR SUPPLIED DRIVER" option.
3c. Select "VORTEK DRIVER" option.
3d. Select second adapter options as needed.
3e. Select "Exit and Save".
3f. Reboot system for installation to take affect.
CONFIGURATION:
--------------
The first time this driver is used, it will ask the user which video
mode to use for MicroStation. It will present the user with a menu of
all available resolution modes. One must be selected, and then a
configuration filed will be created that the driver will use for
subsequent MicroStation sessions.
To permanently reconfigure the driver, erase the file
"\USTATION\DRIVERS\MGLAGX.CFG" and run MicroStation again.
To temporarily change the resolution mode used, you may set the
environment variable "MGLAGX" to one of the following numbers:
0 640x480x256
1 1024x768x16
2 1024x768x256
If the driver finds a legal value in the environment, it will use it
to override any variable found in the configuration file.
FEATURES:
---------
This can be configured as either the "Primary" (right screen) or
"Secondary" (left side) graphics device.
If the initialization code is unable to determine which mode to use, it
will always default to the 640 x 480 x 256 color mode.
The driver will exit if it is not able to find an VORTEK-based graphics
card.
The graphics screen contents are saved when shelling out to DOS.
