  13.  * math co-processor
  14.  * 4 Mbytes of memory (8+ is better)
  15.  * VORTEK based card
  16.  * MicroStation PC, Version 4.0.3.1 or later

  19. INSTALLATION:
  20. -------------

  22. 1. Copy the following files to the "\USTATION\DRIVERS" directory:
  23.     "MGLAGX.EXP"    The executable driver file.
  24.     "MGLAGX.MA"     The MDL application that loads the driver.
  25.     "MGLAGX.MGL"    Used by the configuration program to locate
  26.             the driver files.

  28. 2. Go to the "\USTATION" directory.
  29.  
  30. 3. Run the "USCONFIG" program to select the new device driver.
  31.     3a. Select "Display Adapters" entry.
  32.     3b. Select "VENDOR SUPPLIED DRIVER" option.
  33.     3c. Select "VORTEK DRIVER" option.
  34.     3d. Select second adapter options as needed.
  35.     3e. Select "Exit and Save".
  36.     3f. Reboot system for installation to take affect.

  39. CONFIGURATION:

  42. The first time this driver is used, it will ask the user which video
  43. mode to use for MicroStation.  It will present the user with a menu of
  44. all available resolution modes.  One must be selected, and then a
  45. configuration filed will be created that the driver will use for
  46. subsequent MicroStation sessions.

  48. To permanently reconfigure the driver, erase the file
  49. "\USTATION\DRIVERS\MGLAGX.CFG" and run MicroStation again.
  50.  
  51. To temporarily change the resolution mode used, you may set the
  52. environment variable "MGLAGX" to one of the following numbers:
  53.     0       640x480x256
  54.     1       1024x768x16
  55.     2       1024x768x256
  56.  
  57. If the driver finds a legal value in the environment, it will use it
  58. to override any variable found in the configuration file.

  65. This can be configured as either the "Primary" (right screen) or
  66. "Secondary" (left side) graphics device.
  67.  
  68. If the initialization code is unable to determine which mode to use, it
  69. will always default to the 640 x 480 x 256 color mode.

  71. The driver will exit if it is not able to find an VORTEK-based graphics
  72. card.

  74. The graphics screen contents are saved when shelling out to DOS.
